Rose Creek Estate Vineyard & Olive Grove

Rose Creek Estate Vineyard & Olive Grove

Rose Creek Estate has been described as "Tuscany in East Keilor", with the house and vineyard surrounded by 300 olive trees, fresh fruit and vegetables all just a step from the back door. The Sicilianos established Rose Creek Estate based on their home town Varapodio in Italy. The views and family atmosphere around Rose Creek Estate and their passion for traditional Italian cuisine and living give the property in the suburbs a mediterranean ambience.

The adherence to the traditions of Italy makes this a home away from home and creates a unique atmosphere with its hospitality and refreshing honesty as well as dedication and pride that is associated with making boutique products.

Rose Creek Estate has four main workers, and is supported by a network of friends and family who help during the year to ensure that production can remain at a viable level. The process by which the wine is produced employs reduced sulphur levels and the continual dedication to perfection and upgrading of barrels and machinery. In addition, an Italian made machine was imported for the extraction of the Rose Creek Estate olive oil, which in itself is an outstanding product.

With more than ten different olive tree varieties originating from Tuscany, Greece and Spain, the range of flavours and styles of oil makes each season’s harvest an exciting time at Leighgrove. Some are very fruity, whilst others are quite peppery and robust, each with its own character. In a true boutique way, our aim is to offer the finest quality we can achieve in a choice of styles to suit both differing tastes and culinary uses - to compliment all your cooking. We are not bound by big supermarket demands for exactly the same taste every year - indeed the annual variations in temperatures, rainfall and quantities of fruit harvested are a welcome addition to the exclusive nature of our oil.

Immerse yourself in the ‘olive experience’- join us at Leighrove Olives where you can stroll through the olive grove, taste our superb oils and talk with the growers about nature’s finest gift – the olive tree. Enjoy a coffee and browse through our unique range of quality products. We can help you create the perfect gift basket – fine food, skin care and more.

Koala Honey

Koala Honey
Koala Honey

Koala Honey evolved from my passionate and successful beekeeping hobby. About seven years ago when I got my first hive I had the uttermost confidence about being a beekeeper; as some of my friends concluded immediately...

First season, I discovered the unparalleled diversity of the Australian flora, and than stunning quality and variety of the honeys that I’d obtain. Wining honey competitions was natural, and was reinforced it in 2007 when I won the GOLD MEDAL with a medium honey at the prestigious international beekeeping conference, APIMONDIA 2007.

I am constantly surprised and delighted by the variety of aromas and flavors of all my honeys and the unexpected new ranges that each new season could bring.

There is no big secret, all the honeys produced by us are pristine and as natural as can be no chemicals, raw and cold extracted, as it was done hundreds of years ago.
