Last Hurrah at the Showgrounds !!
Hello
Well this is it, After months of to-ing and fro-ing, negotiating and cajoling, moving out and moving in we finally come to the end. This will be our last market at the Showgroungs EVER. ( I realise the brochure says we have a date in December but we have been told not to come) so this is it.
I have to say that for all its faults the Showgrounds had character ... or is that... for all is character the shed had faults... no one will miss the long queues for parking - but it was good in the rain.
So with a fond farewell we have all our favorite stalls ... some who were there from the beginning like Sisely Estate Wines doing tasting of their 2010 pinot ( very good) John from Wild Dog, still the best garlic in the land, John Howell just keeps going 'crunch' with his apples, Robyn still as sweet as her Jam, Red Beard Noel as generous as his bread and Mark at Eureka is hot white and one like his coffee.
And we have new stall holders Gavin at Repertoire with Gluten free cakes, Colita with Lamb, Dawn with Beer, Russell with seedlings, Lei with bread, Rueben with roses, Fye with nuts, and Dan with excellent eggs, Connie with cherries and happily there are more that I haven't put in...but a complete list is below.
So we say goodbye to the Showgrounds with an excellent range of stalls this week and look forward to a sunny summery, successful future at our new location in Flemington
see you at the Showgrounds this Sunday
