Alpine Cherries & Chestnuts
Nestled in the pristine Victorian High Country, Alpine Cherries & Chestnuts is one of the largest chestnut groves in Australia, producing a dozen varieties of chestnut between March and June, from the early-season Buffalo Queen to the glossy Red Spanish over Easter, and on to the Colossal, Menzies, Di Coppi Marone and Bouche de Betizac varieties, finishing with the sweet Wandiligong Wonders. John and Suzi Rainone are thrilled to be taking their chestnuts direct to farmers' markets, exchanging tips and handing out recipes.
